What are Fellowships?

Fellowship's are specially tailored groups that provide a more personal environment for you, your friends, small churches, homeschoolers, small groups and family to fellowship.

Fellowships work great to complement existing static church or small group websites with more specific dynamic features. Some of these will include: Prayer Chains, Event Calendars, Document Sharing, Real Time Chat and much more!

• Prayer Chain. Unlike the public prayer wall, fellowship prayer chains have a more personal and targeted feel. Prayer Chains are formed when a prayer request within the fellowship. Fellowship prayer chain members are notified by email and PM when it is their turn to pray for a member. Prayer chains can be set up by two different methods, traditional and Asynchronous
  
  Traditional Prayer Chains
  This prayer request acts more like a traditional prayer chain, where each member is notified in sequence and only when the previous person clicks the "I Prayed" button.
  
  Asynchronous Prayer Chains
  All members of your fellowship will be sent your prayer request at once.
• Real Time Chat. Fellowship chat allows you to speak with other fellowship members in real time. You can also get the latest fellowship news within the chat box.
• Document Sharing. Document Sharing allows you to upload documents that the rest of your fellowship can access. Great for churches, small fellowships, Bible studies and home schools.
  
  For example, if your leading a Bible study and have a work sheet that you want your fellowship members to review before the next study, you can add it to the document bin for easy access and review.
• Event Calendar. Every fellowship has access to their own even calendar that can be used to list upcoming events, birthdays, Bible studies, pot lucks and other activities.
  
  Events also include the option of enabling a Google Map (if an address if provided). Each event is color coded for easy viewing.
• Leader Options. Fellowship leaders have access to many different tools to help moderate your fellowship. Set a group goal, or write a little bit about group. Group leaders can also determine the group's overall privacy level.
• Group Privacy. There are currently two different fellowship privacy levels. Open and Private.
  
  Open Groups. Open groups are fellowships allow any UIG member to join. No passwords are necessary. This setting is perfect for groups that are very social and want to grow fast.
  
  Private Groups. Private fellowship are on invitation only. This means you must invite or give someone your fellowships Name and Password to join.
