Why do you only use the KJV and NASB translations?

Trying to keep things simple and copyright/trademark issues. There are many different translations out there, everyone has a preference. Unfortunately, the newer translations are copyrighted and are tough to use because of that.

There are many different Bible translations that are available, in the public domain for open use, but most of them are over a hundred years old and unlike other sites that display these translations (which many don't use anyway) we chose to keep things simple and stick with the King James Version (KJV) text as our public domain translation.

Why KJV?
The KJV text is in the public domain and many, many people still use it. This really was a no brainer.

Why NASB?
We needed a more up to date 'word for word' translation, something that could be compared against the King James Translation. Unfortunately all of the current up to date translations have been copyrighted, some with very strict usage rights.

After much research and prayer, both into translation and copyright issues, we felt that the NASB was an excellent word for word translation and would work well with this site. The Lockman Foundation was kind of enough to allow the use of their New American Standard Bible translation for UnityInGrace.com.

Based on future site popularity, we may try to add additional translations.



What are Bookmarks?

Bookmarks are verses that have been saved or tagged into a special library that can easily be accessed for later use.

You can Bookmark verses from other member profiles, by searching for them or on a verse page.



What can I do with my Bookmarks?

More than anything, they are used to help keep track of your favorite verses! Categorizing your Bookmarks makes it easier to keep them organized.


Some other things you can do with your Bookmarks:
  • Send selected verses to your family or friends
  • Use them when you Encourage fellow members from their Profile page
  • Print selected verses
