Why do you only use the KJV and NASB translations?
Trying to keep things simple and copyright/trademark issues. There are many different
translations out there, everyone has a preference. Unfortunately, the newer translations
are copyrighted and are tough to use because of that.
There are many different Bible translations that are available, in the public domain
for open use, but most of them are over a hundred years old and unlike other sites
that display these translations (which many don't use anyway) we chose to keep things
simple and stick with the King James Version (KJV) text as our public domain translation.
The KJV text is in the public domain and many, many people still use it. This really
was a no brainer.
We needed a more up to date 'word for word' translation, something that could be
compared against the King James Translation. Unfortunately all of the current up
to date translations have been copyrighted, some with very strict usage rights.
After much research and prayer, both into translation and copyright issues, we felt
that the NASB was an excellent word for word translation and would work well with
this site. The Lockman Foundation was kind
of enough to allow the use of their New American Standard Bible translation for

What are Bookmarks?
